Sterilization
Our practice takes stringent measures to minimize the risk
of infection. There is no carpeting on the floor to trap bacteria and rooms are sterilized between patients. Any instrument used in a patients mouth is either disposable or designed to withstand heat sterilization after use.
Instruments to be sterilized are first placed in a cassette, washed in our special high pressure sanitizing unit, air dried, covered with wrapping and transferred to our hands free State of the Art Triangle Sterilization Centre for heat sterilization. The cassette is then stored in a sterile holding unit and remains sealed until immediately before use. The wrapping serves as a sterile field on which to place the instruments during procedures.
These measures are carried out rigorously and consistently and demonstrate our commitment to your safety. |
