COLLABORATIVE TREATMENT PLANNING

Treatment Planning is a collaborative effort that marries the clinical diagnostics, the treatment plan and optional care with the patient priorities based on the preferred treatment and financial considerations. The collaborative treatment plan allows patients to plan short and long term for their dental care.

FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND INSURANCES

Patients are invited to use Debit Card, Visa or MasterCard for payment on the date of your appointment.

DENTAL INSURANCE

We encourage patients with dental insurance to provide insurance details to ensure your reimbursement is timely. Providing the details of the Insurance Carrier, Plan Number, Policy Number and ID Number are essential for claim processing. Electronic Insurance Submissions generally provide reimbursement within days of the submission.

We strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with your insurance. Interpreting insurance jargon is often a bit of an art. If you are confused by something in your insurance booklet, please ask your Patient Coordinator or Hygiene Clinical Coordinator and we will let you know the best way to clarify your insurance benefits and if needed send any necessary estimates. Dental Insurance is a great benefit but all plans have limits. With the gap between insurance and dental fees growing it is advisable to consider planning for your own care in the event that your insurance plan falls short of your needs.

SECONDARY INSURANCE

Secondary Insurance occurs when both partners have dental insurance with family coverage. The Policy Holder submits electronically to the Primary Insurance carrier. Upon receipt of their Primary Insurance Explanation of Benefits (E.O.B.) with the attached reimbursement cheque the Secondary Insurance is submitted on a Standard Dental Claim form. The Secondary Insurance carrier requires a copy of the E.O.B. to process the claim for reimbursement and this is typically mailed to the provider. Reimbursement timing is dependent upon the carrier.
If the Secondary Insurance is the same carrier the Policy Holders may be able to coordinate the submission process with reimbursement coordinated.

Annual estimates, allow you to move in a planned fashion towards oral health.
